What Are Therapeutic Peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body. Some are used clinically with the goal of supporting recovery, sleep quality, and overall wellness.
Therapeutic peptides are used in functional and regenerative medicine to help optimize health beyond what traditional hormone replacement addresses. They are not hormones, but they can complement a hormone optimization protocol.
Who Is Peptide Therapy For?
Peptide therapy may be appropriate for men and women who want to look beyond hormone replacement — often with questions about sleep, recovery, or body composition.
During your consultation, we’ll discuss your health goals and determine whether peptide therapy is a good fit for your individual needs. It isn’t appropriate for everyone, including during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and it carries risks as well as benefits.
Which Peptides Can Be Prescribed?
Sermorelin
A growth hormone–releasing peptide, once sold as an FDA-approved drug and now prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies. Patients often ask about it for sleep, recovery, and body composition; the evidence is limited and it isn’t right for everyone.
PT-141 (bremelanotide)
FDA-approved as Vyleesi for low sexual desire in premenopausal women; use after menopause is off-label. Available as the brand product or compounded.
GHK-Cu, topical
A copper peptide used in a compounded topical cream. Only topical forms can currently be compounded — we don’t prescribe injectable GHK-Cu.
NAD+
A coenzyme (not strictly a peptide) that compounding pharmacies prepare as an injection under the skin or into the muscle. We don’t offer IV infusions.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Medication is filled by a licensed pharmacy and billed separately from your visit.
A Straight Answer on Peptide Availability
As of October 2026, the regulatory picture for compounded peptides is still changing. An FDA advisory committee reviewed several popular peptides in July 2026, but the FDA has not issued a rule, so those peptides still can’t be compounded for patients. That means which specific peptides can be prescribed depends on what your pharmacy can legally compound at the time of your visit.
We won’t tell you a peptide is available before confirming the pharmacy can actually supply it, and we don’t sell research chemicals or gray-market products. If a peptide you’ve read about isn’t currently compoundable, we’ll say so and talk through what is.

Questions About Peptide Therapy
Which peptides can you prescribe?
Currently: Sermorelin, PT-141, GHK-Cu (topical), NAD+. Each is either an FDA-approved product or prepared by a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy, and only after a consultation shows it fits your goals and history.
Can you prescribe a peptide I read about online?
Only if a licensed U.S. pharmacy can lawfully prepare it right now. Many peptides sold online as “research use only” can’t legally be prescribed or compounded for patients. If the one you’re asking about is in that group, we’ll say so plainly and talk through what is available.
Do I need lab work?
Lab testing is recommended and can be ordered for you at an additional cost. Whether it’s needed before starting depends on your history and what we’re considering.
How much does peptide therapy cost?
The consultation is $99 for 30 minutes, and follow-up visits are $99. Medication is billed separately by the pharmacy, and labs are an additional cost if ordered.
Are compounded peptides FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed pharmacies for individual patients and are not FDA-approved. PT-141 is also available as the FDA-approved brand product, Vyleesi. We discuss the risks and trade-offs before anything is prescribed.
Can I get peptide therapy if I live outside Arizona?
No. Visits are available only to patients physically located in Arizona at the time of the appointment.
