Why we don’t charge a flat monthly subscription

Most online hormone clinics advertise a flat monthly price — commonly somewhere between $99 and $250 per month — that bundles the visit, the medication, and sometimes labs into one subscription. That model has real appeal: one predictable number. It also has a catch: you keep paying the bundle price every month whether or not you needed a visit that month, the medication inside the bundle is chosen from what the clinic stocks, and the subscription usually continues until you actively cancel.

We price the medical care itself. You pay for the evaluation and the follow-ups you actually have, your prescription is filled at a pharmacy under your own name at the pharmacy’s cash price, and labs are ordered when your case needs them — not on a fixed schedule designed around a bundle. For most patients, the all-in monthly math works out comparable to or below the subscription clinics, and every line item is visible.

The honest caveat: if you want a single flat number and never want to see a pharmacy receipt, a subscription clinic gives you that. If you want a full hour with a provider, labs interpreted beyond a single number, and control over where your prescription is filled, that’s what we do.

What a typical first three months looks like

1. Initial consultation — $160. A full hour: symptoms, history, and a lab plan. No labs required before this visit. Considering peptides or GLP-1 weight loss instead? Those consultations are $99 for 30 minutes.

2. Baseline lab work. Drawn at a location near you, billed at the lab’s cash rate. We order the panel your case needs — hormone levels, thyroid, and metabolic markers, not a fixed bundle.

3. Follow-up — $100. Lab review and, if treatment is appropriate, your prescription sent to a pharmacy with fair cash pricing. Ongoing care includes periodic follow-ups and monitoring labs, on the schedule your case calls for.

Cost Questions, Answered

How much does hormone replacement therapy cost in Arizona?

With our practice, the initial hormone consultation is $160 for a full hour and follow-up visits are $100 for 30 minutes, for both men and women. Lab work and medication are billed separately at the lab’s and pharmacy’s own cash prices — typically making the all-in monthly cost comparable to or lower than subscription hormone clinics, without a membership fee.

How much does TRT cost in Arizona?

The same visit pricing applies: $160 for the initial hour-long consultation and $100 per follow-up. Testosterone medication is filled at a pharmacy under your name at the pharmacy’s cash price, and monitoring labs are billed at the lab’s cash rate. Subscription TRT clinics commonly charge roughly $99–$199 per month for a bundle; with us you pay for the visits you actually have and see every line item.

How much does peptide therapy cost?

The peptide consultation is $99 for 30 minutes. If a peptide protocol is appropriate — and the pharmacy can legally compound it — the medication is billed by the pharmacy at its own cash price, which varies by peptide and dose. We confirm availability and cost with the pharmacy before you commit to anything.

Does insurance cover hormone therapy?

We are a cash-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. Hormone evaluation and follow-up visits are HSA/FSA-eligible, and we provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement. Many plans restrict hormone therapy coverage — particularly bioidentical preparations and testosterone — which is one reason much of this care in the U.S. is paid cash.

Are labs and medication included in the price?

No — the consultation price covers the medical visit itself. Lab work is billed separately at the lab’s cash rate, and we coordinate the draw at a location near you. Medication is filled at a pharmacy under your name and billed by the pharmacy. We order the panel your case actually needs rather than a fixed bundle, and you’ll know costs before anything is ordered.
